Arungkodai Illam is a Roman Catholic Diocesan Charismatic Centre in the Diocese of Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. Proclaiming the Word of God in Trichy Diocese for nearly 4 decades. Gospel preached here is taken to all the Tamil Catholics across the Globe. The Spiritual thirst of the Catholic people are quenched in best possible ways.

History of Arungkodai Illam
The history of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) movement in Tiruchirapalli goes back to the years 1975 – 1976 when some Jesuit priests, religious sisters of Holy Cross and Franciscan Missionary of Mary and some lay people jointly prayed together. Thus the renewal movement started in Tiruchirapalli.

The new Arungkodai Retreat Centre was constructed in the year 2020. It was blessed and opened by Rt. Rev. Devadoss Ambrose the Apostolic Administrator of Trichy Diocese on the 7th of October 2020.

Wednesday: Deepening of our faith
Thursday: Healing of inner wounds and anointing of the Holy Spirit

Trichy is the geographical centre of Tamil Nadu. So, it is very accessible to all people in Tamil Nadu, and also bus, train, and flight facilities are available very frequently. People from other states are also attending the retreat. Tamil-speaking people from all over the world are welcome to our Retreat Centre.
